RNA localization studies indicate that the spatial distribution of RNA in cells plays a key role in its function. Targeted ribonucleic acid molecule FISH is an RNA visualization method that uses fluorescence microscopy to detect and localize specific RNA molecules in cellular and tissue samples as well as in living cells. It is safe, fast, sensitive, and has a long probe storage time. At the same time, multiple colors can be displayed.

IntegrateRNA RNA-FISH Principle

IntegrateRNA utilizes fluorescently prelabeled short oligonucleotides (approximately 20 nucleotides in length) that are combined to form a probe set (a group of up to 48 independent probes). Combining the probe set with the same RNA target produces a strong fluorescent signal that amplifies the signal without the enzymatic reaction, displaying spotted spots of RNA or clusters of single RNA molecules. Since the positive signal is determined by the combination of multiple probes, fluorescence produced by mismatched oligonucleotides or unbound probes is much lower than the threshold used to detect specific targets, and collective off-target possibly small, thus minimize the possibility of false positives and false negatives.
